MANAGEMENT


AVNER SCHNEUR

Avner Schneur led a number of companies from early stage to IPO or other exits. Schneur is the Founder and CEO of Kormeli, LLC an investment Group dedicated to funding and guiding early-stage technology entrepreneurs and enterprises. Schneur is chairman of PetPace, FoodieBytes, Zappix, board member in Nipendo, and ESCBaz. Schneur is member of the Technion Industrial Engineering Faculty Advisory Board.

In late 1999 Schneur founded Emptoris Inc, leading Supply and Contract mgt Software Company and served as the company’s Chairman, President and CEO. ֵSchneur’s goal was to transform the way companies procure goods and services utilizing mathematical optimization technology. The company’s novel approach involved taking a broader look at the total cost of major procurements, ultimately enabling substantial savings for customers. Emptoris was acquired by IBM in 2011. Prior to founding Emptoris Schneur was holding number of executive positions at Vectis Corporation, a leading software vendor of electronic medical records. Astea International, a leading developer of customer interaction software, Schneur helped lead the company to a successful IPO. Elscint, Inc., a manufacturer of high-end medical imaging systems.

Schneur graduated Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering, with a specialty in Information Systems, from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology).

Schneur and his wife Rina established the The Rina and Avner Schneur Center of Type II Diabetes Research. The center brings together top researchers from the faculty of Biomedical engineering and the faculty of Medicine at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology to seek for a cure to type II diabetes.


PHILIP ROIZIN

Mr. Roizin is currently the Chief Financial Officer of RUELaLA INC. multi-hundred million dollar pure play Internet retailer. From 1996-2011, Mr. Roizin held several senior positions at Brookstone Inc., a $500 million multi channel retailer, including CEO and President, EVP Operations, and Chief Financial Officer. During Mr. Roizin's tenure, the market capitalization of this NASDQ publicly traded company increased from $65 million to $450 million, when it was then sold to a private equity consortium headed by J W Childs.Mr. Roizin headed all operations and was responsible for all financial strategic decisions, including issuing public equity and debt and banking relationships. Mr. Roizin also played an instrumental part in the Company's Internet and Real Estate strategies.

Prior to Dole Mr. Roizin worked at Bain & Co. and Accenture, where he assisted clients in developing business strategies, IT strategies, operational efficiencies and Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to joining Brookstone, Mr. Roizin was the CFO of the Franklin Min, a $750 million multi channel international retailer. From 1989-1996, Mr. Roizin held several senior management positions at Dole Food Co., a $3 billion Consumer Products Company, including Vice President of Strategic Planning and General Manager of Dole Beverages, a $250 million beverage division, where he had full P&L responsibility.

Mr. Roizin holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a BComm from McGill University.
